I started this business in order to fill a niche for individuals and businesses that do not have a graphics and web team. Tangerine Design is a full-service design, development and maintenance shop. I revel in collaboration with my clients. Figuring out the puzzle of your business, your market, your audience, and making the process engaging and fun. A business is not a static entity. About me

Where to begin? Professionally, I am cartographer gone graphic designer gone web designer gone web developer gone business owner. The beautiful thing about this accumulation is that one builds upon the other and the intricate web continues to grow. Design, like life, is all about the journey.

I live and work in Nevada’s capital, Carson City. Nestled at the base of the Sierra, Carson is just 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe by car and offers access to miles upon miles of trails in the surrounding foothills and into the Sierra. With a charming downtown historic district, a budding entrepreneurial spirit, a colorful local Farmer’s Market, an eclectic arts and music scene, and cohesive outdoor organizations, it is a highly desirable lifestyle community.  I keep community and wilderness close because they are both a source of energy and creativity for me.

But, why the name, “Tangerine”, you ask?
Because this fruit, scientifically dubbed “Citrus Nobilis Tangeriana” for its geographic origins in Tangier, Morocco is fresh and citrusy, sweet and tangy, plump and juicy. It delights the senses with its palpable perfume, its tantalizing twirl on the tongue, its unmistakably outspoken orange hues. Tangerines, in their easily removed pithy peel are a beautiful, refreshing, and feel-good fruit.
